Full Moon Metal Casting for Grown Ups

We are back this February to continue our full moon ritual of cast metal as we celebrate the

Snow Moon! We will honor this celestial beauty by creating your own cast metal charm or mini

sculpture! The Snow Moon in February reminds us to allow some calm and reflection from

struggles and business as our world is blanketed in deep winter, we can be reminded that rest is

valuable and necessary for growth. All the more important as we recharge, eager for the

excitement and change that spring will soon bring! Create your sculpture with these inspirations

in mind or find your own symbolism for the eve of creation. You will learn to carve cuttlebone

molds and cast metal with lead-free pewter. Everyone can expect to make at least one and

likely more small scale sculpture(s) and/or charms during the session. Participant artists will

have the opportunity to finish the sculpture(s) through filing, ink patinas, and any other needed

adjustments to realize their celestial visions. Class size is limited to minimize risks in this Covid

time and masks are required.
